Biography
He was a purebred. We bought him at a puppy store. We found out early on that he had hip dysplasia, but he was strong and loved life so much that it never really seemed to get him down. I would always tell everyone that we should all live our lives like dogs - calm, sweet, never complain, and always give unconditional love - isn't that the way it should be?

Family Life
His family life was great he knew how much we loved him and we knew how much he loved us. My daughter even made him a song when she was in second grade. It goes he's Plutsy Wootsy Cutesy and you really want Gooch him He's Plutsy Yeah Yeah a Plutsy. She is now in sixth grade and she still loves him from the bottom of her heart and still remembers that song.

Special Moments/Achievements

He also loved to chase rabbits. If you just said go get the rabbit - he would run in the back yard as fast as he could. He also loved pizza. One Christmas, I heard gifts unwrapping so I thought the kids had gotten up and started opening the gifts that Santa brought, to my surprise, it was Pluto opening his gifts. Santa had brought him some yummy bones. I could go on and on there were so many special moments with him.

Cause of Death
I sadly have been watching Pluto slowly come to his death since February, 2006, when he had his first seizure. I brought him to the vet immediately, who sent me to specialist, who claimed it is possible a tumor on his spleen, it could be cancer. I didn't know what to do - he was weak - If he got too excited, like seeing someone he knew or going for a ride in the car, he would pass out, I would sit with him each time, pet him and reassured him how much we loved him, finally I was able to get him to a different vet for a second opinion. This vet knew right away what was wrong with him, he had larangeal paralysis. Well, finally we knew what was wrong. Pluto made it through one more Christmas with us and then on January 20, 2007, he died in my arms in our home, the strange thing was we were all home, my husband, the kids and I. So we all got to give him a special Goodbye. Pluto is the best dog anyone could have. We miss him so much.

Beginning
My husband and I bought our house in October of 1994 and within the week, Tony said to me, I can't believe you didn't get a dog yet. Well, that was exactly what was missing so in a rush I went to Yuppy Puppy. The moment I saw him, I knew he was the dog. He was so playful, his coat was a white color and he had the biggest floppy ears ever. He actually had to grow into them. Well it was love at first sight. He was like my first child. We took him to the beach, on the ferry, to training classes, he loved swimming and frisbee - those were his favorit things to do. Then two years later we started having kids and he was so protective of them, he loved them from the moment he saw them, he turned out to be their best friend as well. They played at the beach with him, the played in the snow with them. He loved the snow too. Even my neighbors all loved him and everyone has a story or two to tell about that lovable lab.
